Guess who's back, back again?
That's right, folks, the Wellington Cosplayers' Picnic is back!
Finer details are yet to be confirmed, but it'll be late January (as last time) at Frank Kitts Park, also as per last time.
Organisation will be done here, so if you wanna follow things as they come then come on over! C:

Happy New Year, y'all! Hope it's treating you well so far.
I officially started off this new year by being hauled out of trying-to-get-to-sleep at around midnight and pulling crackers with the rest of my family, as we usually do (I can't seem to last late nights anymore!!).
Technically though, I really started off the new year by getting a very simple, very sweet 'happy new year' text at 00:02 from a very sweet someone. Made my year already <3
One thing to tarnish a good year slightly though was the fact that some drunken idiots took a hammer to our letterbox and stole signs from the signpost of the street next to us. Bloody new years shenanigans!! //facepalm

Oh hey, my favourite film, why so pricey?

For those who wish to shot with me on film, this is part of why I take a dog's age to sort myself out. ;____; If you ever wish to buy me a present, a roll or two of film would be great!

my wit gland is in a poor state, due to my unsatisfactory nutrition levels, and lack of exercise and sleep..
In approximately 13 hours from when I type this sentence, 2009 will be over, and I shall stride boldly into the third decade I've been alive to witness. This is quite a landmark...the last time I witnessed a new decade, it was also a new millenium, and I was Eight.
Hm. It seems upon review, that while the first decade of the new Millenium wasnt kind to much of the world, I cruised through it, and my teenage years, with style, wit and panache...or so I like to tell myself. I am aware that I don't have much else to compare it to, but honestly. Best. Decade. Ever.
I've seen people ask "What would you do if you had to repeat this year?" It's cliche, but it's true....I don't think I'd really mind-2009 was spectacular, and a fine way to top off a decade of such magnitude. Being a prefect, both Armageddons, the Rocky Horror Picture Show, Relay for Life, so many Catch lunches and Roti Chanai...my strange celebrity status at school...There was a point at which I Wanted to just get up onto the podium, not say anything, and see how many people cheered anyway.
But then again, repeating a year where I knew what was going to happen(although the metaphysical aspects of the question are kinda vague...do they mean completely reset the time, so you repeat the year with no knowledge of what it could have been, and so cannot change anything, or what?)seems like a bit of a waste...'specially when you consider that there's a bright, shiny new year, the genesis of a new decade, just past midnight, glowing with dreams and promise, just waiting and ready to be trampled on.
My regrets are minimal, my experiences have been awesome, and it was in this decade that I forged the most incredible friendships- In years to come, I will look back on this decade and think...."well, the world didn't get any better...in fact, the world kinda got alot worse...
....but at least I met you."
Best of luck, 2009. See you as soon as I perfect that time machine in the backyard.

Hunching on the floor working on that damn coat has fucked up my back good and proper. Yeowch.
Sithsized!hooded coat complete, and customer pleased. Have started a seifuku for me, but am totally not sure on how I'll feel about actually wearing it! AND NOW BED.
Epic Dress of Pink and Poof has plateau'd, for I have no zip. Little bit annoyed at this. Next job is a long PVC coat with a Sith!sized hood on it and some minor contrast detailing, which I'm hoping to get done this week. After that, I cuss out NZ Post until my dye arrives from Christchurch and then get on with a Loli-style cosplay dress...and then at least one corset, and possibly I may then go insane.
The job search is still looking incredibly bleak, which is fairly depressing, but at least I'm busy. It'd be nice if I was making enough from the busy-ness to actually make it worth my while, but hey - at least I have something to do. I think?
Exercise plans have also hit a bit of a bump. My muscle is starting to come back, which is fairly gratifying, but none of the flab sitting on top of it has shifted - blearghh, is what I say to that. It would be a little tiny bit easier to lift my ass over my head if my ass didn't weigh as much as a small car. That's my theory anyway, and I'm sticking to it!

Best present of the day was a tiny parcel under the tree that said, "To the Fairest - Zeus." He got the reference slightly off, but I laughed so hard. I love my dad!
You know when every so often you hear a song you haven't heard for ages, and it strikes a certain chord(abstract chord, not musical :P) and you remember how much you used to love it? I got that right now, with The Reaper by the Blue Oyster Cult. I love that song so much, particularly THAT riff. It's delicious and now I have to listen to it lots :)
